Selecting and exporting messages
Tick several messages and export them in one go. The a shortcut selects all visible messages. The export happens entirely locally; nothing is uploaded.
Export a selection
- Tick the messages you want to export, or press a for all visible messages.
- In the export bar choose the format: EML, PDF, HTML, CSV, MBOX or a case file.
- For a case file, set a password for AES-256 encryption.
- Confirm. The file is saved locally to your downloads folder.

PDF and HTML exports automatically get a professional document header. Handy for case files, reports or sharing a selection with a colleague or lawyer.
The forensic case file
For investigation or evidence, build a case file: an AES-256 encrypted bundle of the selected messages, protected with a password only you know. That lets you share sensitive mail safely, without the content being readable in transit.
Keep the password of a case file safe. Without the password an AES-256 encrypted file cannot be opened; that is exactly the point of strong encryption.
Single messages and printing
You export a single message straight to PDF, EML or HTML. Every message is also print-friendly, so a printout or save-as-PDF looks tidy.
Taking tags, notes and overviews with you
You can add tags and notes to messages. The overview pages for tags and notes let you export a whole group in bulk, for example everything with the tag case. You export and import your entire workspace with tags, stars, notes and saved searches through Settings.
Can I export a whole archive at once?
Yes. Press a to select all visible messages, then choose an export format. Optionally apply a filter first to shape the selection.
What is the difference between an MBOX export and a case file?
An MBOX export is a plain archive any mail client opens. A case file is AES-256 encrypted and password-protected, meant for sharing or storing safely.
Are attachments kept during export?
Yes. With EML, MBOX, PDF, HTML and the case file the attachments come along. A CSV holds the metadata, not the attachments themselves.
Does my export leave my device?
No. The export is created locally in your browser and saved to your downloads folder.
