A complete overview of all the important DNS records of a domain in one place. Use it to quickly see how a domain is set up, to verify a change or to track down problems.
What this tool does
The tool queries public DNS per record type and shows the values found grouped by type. That way you see the domain layout at a glance.
How to use it
Enter the domain name and run the check. You can hide or show empty record types to keep the overview compact.
Input and output
- Input: a domain name
- Output: the A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, CAA and SOA records found
Limitations
The tool shows what public resolvers return at the moment of the query; recent changes may not be visible everywhere yet due to caching.
Good to know
Pay particular attention to TXT records, because they hold SPF, domain verification and sometimes DKIM, and a mistake there often causes silent mail problems. Compare the result with what you expect to see in your DNS control panel.
