Split a calendar file

An exported calendar in .ics format often holds many events in one file. Upload or paste the file and this tool shows every event separately, with title, date and location, and lets you download each one on its own.

An exported calendar in .ics format often holds many events in one file. Upload or paste the file and this tool shows every event separately, with title, date and location, and lets you download each one on its own.

What this tool does

The tool reads the .ics file in your browser, recognises the individual events and preserves the time zones so the times stay correct. You can save each event as its own .ics file.

How to use it

Choose an .ics file or paste the content into the field. Review the list of events and download the ones you want separately or all at once.

Input and output

  • Input: an .ics calendar file (stays in your browser)
  • Output: a list of individual events and a download per event

Limitations

The tool works locally and sends nothing to a server; strongly deviating or damaged .ics files may not be read completely.

Good to know

Handy when you want to share a single event from a large export without sending your whole calendar along. Because everything happens in your browser, the event data stays private and never leaves your device.
