WHOIS and domain information

View the official registration details of a domain via RDAP, the modern successor to WHOIS: who the registrar is, when the domain was registered and when it expires.

View the official registration details of a domain via RDAP, the modern successor to WHOIS: who the registrar is, when the domain was registered and when it expires.

What this tool does

The tool queries the data via RDAP and shows the registrar, the important dates, the active nameservers and status codes such as a transfer lock.

How to use it

Enter the domain name and run the check. Useful to catch expired or soon-to-expire domains in time.

Input and output

  • Input: a domain name
  • Output: the registrar, registration and expiry date, nameservers and domain status

Limitations

Not every extension publishes the same fields via RDAP; some registries hide contact details due to privacy rules.

Good to know

Put important domains on auto-renew and keep an eye on the expiry date, because an expired domain can be taken over by others. A transfer lock in the status protects against unwanted moves to another registrar.
