Check Workspace DNS readiness

Checks in one go whether a domain is set up correctly for Google Workspace: whether the MX records point to Google, whether SPF includes Google, whether DKIM is published and whether a DMARC policy is in place.

Checks in one go whether a domain is set up correctly for Google Workspace: whether the MX records point to Google, whether SPF includes Google, whether DKIM is published and whether a DMARC policy is in place.

What this tool does

The tool goes through the four important parts and judges per part whether it is correct for Google Workspace. For anything missing or weak you get the exact DNS record ready to copy.

How to use it

Enter the domain name and run the check. Ideal as a checklist during an onboarding or migration to Workspace.

Input and output

  • Input: a domain name
  • Output: the status of MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC for Google Workspace, with ready-to-copy records

Limitations

The tool checks the Google-specific setup; if you deliberately use a different mail route or extra senders, weigh those recommendations yourself.

Good to know

Publish DKIM from the Google Admin console and wait until it is live before tightening DMARC. Work through the parts in the order MX, SPF, DKIM and then DMARC, because DMARC relies on the other three.
